AniCura is seeking an accomplished Area Medical Business Partner to join our team. This pivotal role drives clinical excellence, patient safety, and associate development across multiple practices. Acting as a strategic connector between central medical priorities and site-level execution, you will provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and guidance to veterinary teams while ensuring alignment with AniCura’s Operating Unit strategy.
The Area Medical Business Partner plays a critical role in embedding consistent clinical standards, strengthening local leadership, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement that supports both medical quality and commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead structured, regular visits to assigned clinics, prioritizing support based on performance needs.
- Coach and mentor Clinical Directors and veterinary teams to elevate clinical leadership and embed continuous improvement.
- Champion the adoption of best practices and patient safety standards in line with AniCura’s medical governance framework.
- Monitor clinical performance metrics, identify trends, and translate data insights into actionable improvement plans.
- Act as the escalation point for serious clinical incidents and high-risk client complaints, ensuring thorough follow-up and shared learning.
- Collaborate with Area Managers and field teams to implement medical initiatives and priorities at site level.
- Serve as a liaison between local practices and central functions, fostering strong medical-operational partnerships.
- Represent AniCura in relevant professional and regulatory forums, including board-level responsibilities where required.
Candidate Profile
- Veterinary degree or Registered/Certified Veterinary Nurse (RVN) or equivalent qualification (essential).
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in clinical practice combined with proven team leadership.
- Formal or informal leadership/management training preferred.
- Fluent professional proficiency in Dutch, French and English
- Demonstrated competencies in:
o Executive leadership and talent development
o Operational acumen and strategic collaboration
o Stakeholder management and cross-functional influence
Impact and Scope
This is a field-based executive role with significant visibility and influence across the Operating Unit. Success will be measured by tangible improvements in patient outcomes, team engagement, and commercial performance. The position requires strong collaboration with Area Managers, Clinical Directors, and veterinary teams, ensuring AniCura’s medical priorities are effectively implemented and sustained.
